Join us in honouring the 80th anniversary of D-Day with the D-Day 80: 80km Virtual Challenge! This unique event invites you to run, jog, or walk 80 kilometres over a two month period. Whether you complete the distance in two months or take your time, everyone is welcome to participate and commemorate this historic event.

Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day:
D-Day, June 6 1944, marks one of the most significant events in World War II, where Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. This pivotal day led to the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi control. In 2024, we honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day, reflecting on the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom. The D-Day 80: 80km Virtual Challenge is a tribute to their courage and a way for us to remember and celebrate their legacy.

Challenge Duration:
Flexible (Complete within two months to be eligible for awards, but you can take as long as you need - submissions remain open until 2025).

Who Can Participate?:
Absolutely anyone! Whether you’re an avid runner or someone who enjoys a leisurely walk, this challenge is perfect for all fitness levels. You don't need to complete the challenge within two months to receive the stunning 80mm medal and e-certificate. However, to feature on the results board and be eligible for awards, you must complete the 80km within the designated two months.

Prizes:
All finishers receive an 80mm bespoke medal sent to your home address plus an e-certificate sent via email. We will be awarding prizes for those who travel the furthest in the two month period. If you want to be eligible for prizes you must submit by August 6th 2024.

How do I take part?
The event is open to everyone of all ages and abilities and can be completed by running or walking, either indoors or outdoors. It's easy to take part, once you have entered the race we will send you a step-by-step guide. It couldn’t be easier!
