Event Overview:
This wonderful and spellbinding race never fails to delight and is a firm favourite in the racing calendar. Taking place on a summer's evening, bursting with bright colours and fizzing with race-day magic, it's the running event you'll return to year after year. The Rainbow Run is a chip timed race, landing on the evening before the Brighton & Hove Pride Parade. Expect an event that sizzles with the joy of racing and some stunning local support for finishers as they charge across the mats to uproarious cheers!
The Rainbow Run is hosted by The Brighton & Hove FrontRunners and saw its inaugural race take place in 2022 to wild success. In 2023 the Rainbow Run became bigger, bolder and brighter, raising over £3500 for The Brighton Rainbow Fund. This year promises more of the same celebratory vibes and festival/party atmostphere. Enjoy live DJ sets, drag queens and other entertainers as you peruse the event village. Runners of all abilities are encouraged to join this race and Brighton & Hove FrontRunners look forward to welcoming their friends from the local community as well as new friends from outside of town too! Taking place on the eve of Brighton & Hove Pride Parade, this is a celebration and so your finest fancy dress is encouraged!

About your hosts:
The Rainbow Run is hosted by Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, a not-for-profit local community running club.
Brighton & Hove FrontRunners are a friendly group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and allying runners who meet on a regular basis for fun and social running. They founded in October 2018 after a member posted on Facebook to see if there was any interest in a local LGBTQ Running Club. The decision was made to form a branch of FrontRunners in Brighton and Hove. From there, a bunch of keen LGBTQ runners met up one evening a week and the rest, as they say, is history. There are over one hundred FrontRunners clubs around the world, each as diverse as the many locations they are found in, and this wonderful club is incredibly happy to represent Brighton and Hove.
Our charity:
The Rainbow Run is raising valuable funds for The Brighton Rainbow Fund.
The Brighton Rainbow Fund is a Brighton and Hove based grant-giving fund for local LGBT and HIV/AIDS organisations. It is the central hub for fundraising within the local LGBTQ+ communities and distributes grants to local projects which benefit and make a difference to the lives of hundreds of individuals within those communities.
