1 in 8 of us will suffer from bowel cancer during our lifetimes. In the UK, 120 people receive a bowel cancer diagnosis every day and annually, this awful disease claims around 17000 lives. Diagnosed at its earliest stage, there is a 90% chance of survival. GUTSfbc is a charitable organisation working hard to improve bowel cancer survival through early detection and treatment. They work towards this goal by funding equipment and facilities to improve care, screening and detection, by supporting research into the disease and raising awareness around causes and prevention.
