Benfleet Running Club invite you to join them for this magnificent trail race... The Benfleet 15!
This is not a race for the faint hearted. It's a wonderful, muddy challenge designed to get your endorphins zinging and your racing spirit soaring. Every stride is racing perfection. This is not a race you'll want to miss!

About Benfleet Running Club:
Benfleet RC are an inclusive and friendly running club, based in South Benfleet, Essex.
Benfleet RC welcomes runners of all abilities on club training nights and they also run regular beginner training programmes for those totally new to running.

Their thriving adult club has over 200 members whilst their active Club Mark Accredited Junior Club has over 120 members.
The club’s aim is to get people running in a friendly atmosphere, whilst training for events like the London Marathon, the Great North Run and local races too.
They have many members that run simply for the fitness and health benefits, and others that enjoy racing regularly and improving their times. There’s also a busy social calendar and regular away trips. The Benfleet 15 is the jewel in their racing calendar - and with very good reason. 

Course Overview:
The course is a challenging 15 mile, multi-terrain course, incorporating sections of the Canvey Island sea wall, and the undulating Hadleigh Downs. You will encounter muddy, slippery off road surfaces. Please note, it is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors.

A note on headphones:
Due to new UKA rules that came into force on 01 April 2024, in the ear and over the ear headphones are no longer permitted at running events unless otherwise stated. Bone conducting headphones are permitted however, if you do choose to wear bone conducting headphones, then we ask that you have the volume turned down low enough to hear the marshal instructions.
