Overview
The Spitfire 10k returns with a fantastic new virtual edition to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. You will be able to run, jog or walk10k between Friday 5th and Tuesday 23 September 2025. Whether you complete the distance in a single run or spread it out over the two-week period, everyone is welcome to participate. You can record your time via an app or stopwatch, submit your evidence and we'll create a leaderboard for some friendly competition. We'll post out your medal once the challenge is complete.

Medals
Your Spitfire 10k medal will be posted to you at the address you provided at the time of your booking. We attempt to dispatch these within 7 - 10 days after the end of the challenge on 23 September. You must submit proof of completing your 10k in order to receive a medal.
Challenge Duration
Flexible... you may complete your 10k between 05 & 23 September 2025
Who Can Participate?
Absolutely anyone! Whether you're an experienced runner or someone new to the sport, this challenge is perfect for all fitness levels. To feature on the results board, you must complete the race and submit your results by Tuesday 23 September 2025.
How do I take part?
The event is open to everyone of all ages and abilities. It can be completed by running or walking, either indoors or outdoors. Once you have entered the race and before the challenge officially begins on Friday 05 September 2025, we will send you a step-by-step guide to get you started and to let you know how to submit your results. It couldn't be easier!
Sustainability
Ensuring the Spitfire 10k is sustainable as possible is important to the RAF Museum and Nice Work. Our medals will be made out of wood and created in the UK with our unique, aviation inspired designs continuing. The t-shirts (which can be ordered as an addition to your entry or separately) will be printed in the UK.
Running for a Cause
Your entry enables the RAF Museum, a registered charity (Charity Number 1197541) to continue their amazing work and help tell the inspiring stories of RAF personnel, just like The Few - the courageous Battle of Britain pilots and Crew who fought in the skies above Britain in 1940 - and the continuing story of the RAF.
T-shirts
You can order your exclusive Spitfire t-shirt as an exciting add-on to your race entry. T-shirts will cost £16 + £4 p&p and will be available for home delivery only. The deadline for all orders is Wednesday 17 September 2025.

Directions
This is a virtual event. You can run 10k anywhere you like, in one go or in lots of little bursts. You can run on a treadmill, through woodland or on tarmac. Just remember to run safely, listen to your body and stick to your limits.
