Event Overview:
This race boasts stunning views as runners get to experience the undulating tracks, trails and roads around the picturesque village of Madehurst, nestling in the heart of the South Downs near Arundel. Much of the route is on private land and it is a rare opportunity to run this stunning and scenic route.
Please note, this will be a cupless event. Whilst we will provide water, runners will be responsible for providing their own camel packs/cups/bottles/receptacles for us to fill.
We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful community support for this race; from the amazing volunteers who give up their free time to guide and cheer our runners at the top of their lungs, to those lovely folk running the cake stall to keep everyone in tip-top racing condition. This race is all about the wonderful spirit of the community that supports it and we can't wait for you to be part of it.

Founded in 2014, Dementia Support is a young, unique charity based near Chichester, that provides complete dementia services in one community-based hub, known as Sage House. The first of its kind in the UK, Sage House opened in 2018 and provides a full range of accessible dementia services including Wayfinding advice and emotional support, NHS Dementia Assessment, wellbeing activities, Day Breaks respite care, personal care including assisted bathing and dementia friendly hairdressing, Smart Zone technology area for independent living, and an accessible Community Café.
Course Details:
The course is a single lap for the 10k with 5k runners doing a shorter loop of an undulating route around the trails and paths and roads around Madehurst. This is an incredibly scenic course with a small section taking place high on the South Downs with some of the most breath taking views of the area. You'll be in for a treat! And, although challenging in parts, it is ideal for runners of all standards, from experienced athletes to those with limited race experience and first time runners.
The junior race consists of a loop around the cricket ground.

By Car: Madehurst is a small village in West Sussex. It is located four miles (6.4 km) to the north-west of Arundel, to the west of the A29 road. There is plenty of onsite parking.
