So much fun and lovely atmosphere
Race fine, paying for parking not on.
The pre race email said there was free parking. After completing the 5km race I and many other drivers tried to leave the parking area however the barrier was down and myself and all drivers in the long queue in front of me had to pay £3.50 parking fee. Very disappointing.
Great event, well organised and managed.
The band made the event a next level in atmosphere
A good event for runners of all abilities, with a pb potential for seasoned runners.
Only one small criticism was that a couple of marshall’s could have stood in a better position. Some runners in front of me cut across corners and turning points.
Thank you for the event.
A chilly but fun run!
Great run in a great location.
Ideal for beginners. My only issue was I wanted to do the Santa fun run too but it looked like it had already started very soon after I finished. I finished the 10k in just over an hour so felt not enough time was allowed. That said had I realised that where they’d gathered and started the walk with the drums was not the immediate start I probably would have had time to join in.
Great start to the festive period
I took part in this run last year and the update to the route this year was an improvement
Excellent marshalling
Well organised race, lots of fun, and fascinating history all around the runners.
Really good event. Would do it again. Which I knew more about the fun run before. As I would have lived to participate in this too
Amazing location - smooth organisation
Something a bit different
It was frustrating trying to run and take in the ships and surroundings at the same time but in a good way. I love the medal, perfect for the location. I had never heard of Chatham when I found this race so it was a welcome surprise. The Christmas T shirt is great, green a welcome choice.
Great fun event
Only suggestion I have would be to wait for all runners to finish before walking the Santa runners round behind the band. It didn't affect me personally but I didn't think it was great for the slower run to get caught behind loads of people. They also might of wanted to take part themselves but didn't get this opportunity
A run into history of Chatham Dockyard
Fast race, lovely marshals and a beautiful medal.
I am a beginner runner and completed the 10k in 1 hr 8. I think I was one of the last to cross the line. It felt like a very fast race, and I would not recommend for other beginners. That said, it's a great place and the Marshalls were extremely friendly and supportive.
fun
great run, great scenery and well organised. I will be doing this run again next year.
