The Quiet Zone is a quieter, smaller space for race participants to spend time before the start of the Half Marathon at 9am. It is suitable for anyone who experiences anxiety or sensory differences and is available on a first come, first served basis for up to 35 runners.
Race volunteers manning the Quiet Zone know the race route and are trained in neurodiversity-friendly communication styles, able to answer any questions on the day.

Please bring your own ear loops or noise cancelling headphones in case you need further noise reduction. Please bring light sensitivity glasses, sunglasses or a peaked running cap if you are particularly sensitive to light.
Please note that the Quiet Zone is only available before the Half Marathon. Runners are free to collect their belongings from the lockers any time after their finish the race.

If you are unable to collect your race pack beforehand, runners designated with a Quiet Zone space can collect their number on race day itself between 7-8am. Please ensure you arrive before this time if you need to collect your race number.
