Parking
Please follow the instructions of the road marshals and please do not park on these roads. If there are more problems this year, it may prevent Benfleet RC from being able to put this race on in the future.
There are 320 parking spaces at the Mountain Bike Hub and the charge for parking; if you stay for 3 hours or more it will cost roughly £6. Please refer to the Country Park website for more information.
You will be able to pay on exit by card or cash, alternatively, you can pay using the Flowbird App.
There is substantial free parking available near the Mountain Bike Hub.

There are 115 spaces at Rectory Road Car Park, SS7 2ND.
Parking is free with no restrictions at weekends and is generally quiet Sunday mornings. This is about a 10 minute walk to the start.
There are approximately 100 spaces available at John Burrows Car Park SS7 2NQ. Parking is free with no restrictions, but this can be busy on Sunday mornings. This is about a 15 minute walk to the start.
Morrisons parking in Hadleigh is now subject to a 2 hour limit and so we would strongly encourage people not to use their car park.
Toilets
Portable toilets will be available on site at the start and finish. Please note, there will be no toilets available on the course.
Headphones
Only bone conducting headphones are permitted at this event.
The start & finish
The race starts and finishes in different locations but there are both close to the Race HQ.
About the course
This is a challenging 15 mile, multi-terrain course, incorporating sections of the Canvey Island sea wall, and the undulating Hadleigh Downs. Please note, it is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors. You will encounter muddy, slippery off road surfaces so please wear trail shoes with a good grip.
Other route users
Please be aware that you are sharing the paths and trails with other walkers, runners and maybe a couple of cyclists, many of whom live locally. We ask that you race with care and remain courteous at all times.
Recommended Kit & Footwear
Please wear trail shoes with good grip. Do not wear spikes as there are sections of road on the course and normal trainers are not suited for the terrain you will encounter. Bring warm clothing for afterwards and some spare socks and shoes.
Please keep an eye on the weather forecast, parts of the course are very exposed so please dress appropriately.
Litter
Please do NOT drop litter. Bins will be provided, so please dispose of any litter correctly or take it home with you.
Water Stations
There will be a water station on the finish line. There will also be four additional water stations at miles 5, 8, 10 and 13.
Whilst we will ensure that our water station is well supplied, runners should ensure they are fully hydrated and also consider carrying their own water.
Going Green
To help reduce the carbon footprint of this race, we would like to encourage all our runners to bring their own camel packs or reusable cups for this race. Our teams at the water stations will be happy to fill any receptacle that you might bring with you so that you stay hydrated and racing fit! If you are able to car share, then this would be wonderful!
Your route & marshals...
Your course will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. Please listen and obey all marshal instructions given. There will be a sweep marshal which will follow the last runner to make sure that no one is left on the route. All marshals will remain in place until stood down by the sweep marshal.
Spectators
We always welcome anyone that would like to cheer on our runners and join the good spirit of the race by lending their encouragement and support.
Medals & Prizes
There will be a bespoke medal awarded to all finishers and prizes as stated on the website. Weather permitting, the presentation will take place approximately 45 - 60 minutes after the first runner has crossed the finish line and when all the prize winners have arrived home.
Please listen for announcements from your Race Director.

Live and provisional results will be available on the Nice Work website asap after the race.
