Record entry for big race

26-01-2010

A record entry is expected for the Ashford & District 10K, which takes place on February 7th. The annual race is now an established part of the south east’s road running calendar and the 2010 event should see over 700 runners taking part. This extremely popular rural run can see some fast times posted as those in training for a Spring marathon get some speed work under their belt. The course is fast, scenic and accurately measured and runners of all standards are welcome. The race starts from the headquarters of Ashford & District Road Running Club at Sandyacres Sports and Social Club, Sandyhurst Lane in Ashford and starts at 11.00 am. All finishers will receive a medal plus there will be trophies and prizes for the leading runners. The event usually sells out and no entries are taken on the day – though entries are still being taken and entry forms and further information are now available.
